"Hummer"
I'm telling you that wildlife photographer i'm not! I bow to all those guys out there, specialy those who photograph birds!They have all my attention and respect!
I have been chasing those little guys for a couple days now,i'm telling you they are someting else! Smaller than my baby finger,quick as heck and extremely hard to capture,and to be focus on from distance specialy on a windy day!Tripod or not they're on a constant moving target! Auto focus does'nt quite do the trick for me,there's always something in the way!I have taken hundreds of shots right from my kitchen window,and deleted most of them because they where out of focus ,or too much glare and reflection problems,but i manage to salvage a few of them,and here is one!You could say that's my very first "Hummer" shot!My only regret is that,i really wish that it could be sharper!I have done so,but i'm afraid to over do it and spoil everything! No other post work was used!I don't believe in the practice of doing so,or it becomes nothing more than fabrication!Where is the art then? That's my pov!

Paul, this is a hum dinger of a hummer.. yeah theres no rehearsals for wild life..why l to admire posts of wildlife.. awesome capture.. superb pov.. colourings sublime image..and p'graphy... it truly rocks..:)....)))))))))))))

Bonsoir Paul. Une photographie grandiose ! Cette varide petit Colibri est vraiment incroyable, on dirait qu'il a un blason scintillant autour du coup. Joli spimen de me. C'est extrement difficile de prendre ces petits oiseaux en photo, je te tire mon chapeau !!! Je suis tout fait d'accord avec Chantal, ce fond sombre convient parfaitement, et ne fait que faire ressortir les couleurs. Superbe !

WOOOOOOW!!!! Amazing capture!!! Couldnt agree more with ya, there are some shots in this gallery that are out of this world!!!! I couldnt get a sharper capture even if i was photographing a stuffed animal using my tripod. But you did perfect on this one...and its a bird ive never seen before...really cool!!!! Je vois ce que tu veux dire, on espe toujours mieux surtout quand on s'est donntout le mal que tu nous drits l Mais honnement, une parmis des centaines, si c'ait pour celle lalors valait le coup! C'est grandiose et le petit proble de nettetn'est rien cde la difficultd'un tel clich.. Je crois que tu te sous-estimes, tu as sement gagner des grands mares de ce site mais pas tant que !...

Excellent...does your camera have 'servo' mode?...what this means is, that the camera predicts the next point of focus.ie, always one step ahead...either way, stunning shot....congrats ;)

A very nice picture, the colour and position of the bird are great. The sharpness is Ok, if you make it any sharper it will look artificial. I don't like altering too much in a picture either, I much prefer to present them with minimal processing (ie cropping).
