The terrain is good, youve got a good point of view. Heres some ideas for you to reflect on... Raise the waterlevel and play a bit with sunreflections. Mix the colours of the childlayers in the terrain, play with suns altitude..hope you will finish this pic, cant wait to se the end result...

this is very, very nice..suggest maybe a bit more lighting and reflections on the water..especially on the left end of the lake..a bit flat looking..but , overall, this is a very nice terragen render..well done!

You've got yourself a great terrain, and done well surfacing it. Have you applied cloud shadows? Also a low-lying mist might look nice from this high pov. Excellent as is, though.

Yes the terrain and POV is wonderful - I'd play with the surfacing a bit. You've got a wide range of altitude to play with here. I imagine the greenery around the lake to be nice and rich made up of several layers of dark and lime green, thinning out towards the base of the cliff which is bare then to scrubby thin olive coloured veg on the high altitude mixed with rocks (high bump and fractal but don't over do it) there maybe some orange and soft green lichen on the exposed rock where you're standing with the camera. This is going to be one awesome piccy when its done (although its not too bad in its current form!) Good luck. Hope this helps.

Clouds are good, so is the terrain. POV is fine, however I would crop it to wide angle to get rid of some of the forground. Surfacing can be improved, maybe a few more layers would help. Hope that helps. So far looks promising.

whilst I thimk that the surfaces are great, there is definately room for improvement, i would make the lowest green layer 'muddy', like the kind of mud you see in tidal river estuaries(it usually smells pretty bad too!!:)),I like the water colour, if you matched the mud to this I think it'd be perfect, the other green layers are fine, maybe a little variation in tonality would work better, the same goes for the grey rock surface, it appears too 'flat' and some complimentary/contrasting grey tones would definately lift the 'flat' appearance!thats my two cents!!look forward to seeing your next version!!:)

Best parts are the terrain, which is very detailed and the clouds which are remarkably real looking. The area which could use some work, I agree is the cliff faces which are a little uniform in color, but I actually like the effect near the top of the mountains where the grass and grey hills mix it up together.
