Description

'Visitation' ---------------------- I was trying to create a picture that drew the viewer in and hopefully made them feel uneasy. ---------------------------------------------- As always, I really do appreciate you taking the time to check out my work. Tony ----------------------------------------------- BTW The image is pretty large (5,500 pixels wide) and took eighteen and a half hours to render. ----------------------------------------------

Hm... okay, it DOES make me feel uneasy. But then again, it is beautifully rendered and the point of view is great. I also like how the ruins are dissolving to a lighter and lighter background. Excellent artwork!

Excellent indeed, well done. It may have made me feel a little more uneasy if it was a little darker (perhaps). In saying that, I do love your attention to detail.

Get's my vote. Excellent sense of place, gesture and a strong feeling. Nice lighting, color and composition, plus the usual fine Vue realism. Only thing that bothers me just a bit is the slightly grainy look. This one packs an emotional payload.

Looks like the opening scene (or ending scene) to a really good twilight zone or outer limits. You got what you were after. It's the person, the pose, the expression that does it - MarkHirst is right - very "Woman in Black" as far as the feeling. I love the discordant juxtaposition (or maybe it's harmonius) of the two grave yards - the one we're in (POV) and the one she's in (the ruins of the city - maybe it's just supposed to be the ruins of church, but it works better for me in my mind to think of it as the ruins of civilization - like Warsaw or Stalingrad in WWII). Fantastic. Incredible idea - very sad and subtly traumatic. I think you hit the bullseye on this, and I think you should be getting used to that. Great job!!! Wish I could give it more than 1 vote but 1 is all i get - so VOTE

It's not the graveyard or the "woman in black" that makes me uneasy so much as the city ruins behind her. Very nice work!

Certainly you reached your goal as far as uneasiness is concerned, but the image is so well done that it is also a pleasure to view. Excellent!

Im slowly viewing your entire gallery. I'm enjoying everything. You really put good use to cemetary products. Your character is certainly a haunting spectre. This is terrific.
