Sounds like your character is having a rough morning: it must have been a Monday. Love the story so far. Don't mind Moe, he's jealous because he can't write stories as good as you can :-)

Hey, glad I saw this - I think you have something here! Couple of things - if you use military time (0900) there's no reason for an a.m. or p.m. designation. Also, the name of the cops could use a little something. Maybe make their acronym literally GOON Squad (General Order Operations Negotiations Squad, or something), or even a definition that goes with COPS (City Order Protection Squad).
