Description

Created on the late evenings of 9th/10th May, using Photoshop CS and Painter 8. Thanks to my friends in the 2D Forum for some advice along the way, it was a big help... and thanks to the rest of you for taking a look, and for your feedback and critique :-) I like being cryptic ;-)

This is exactly the kind of creative stuff that makes R'osity such an interesting place. Good job there!

Looks great Jim, love the changes you made to finish this off, it has a reall mulidemensional feeling to it & a great sense of poise, an ever changing moment of stillness is how I see it! Excellent work ; )

okay... i already had several look on it... it's different - different from what you did yesterday... and showed in the forum - but it's itneresting... the "missing" white spaces and the slightly cropped view... the darker touch... it makes the pic more grave... more "heavy"... but still it's an intriguing piece of work... get another touch - that's why i was waiting to comment... i "lost" the feeling from yesterday and i have to explore it again... but i like it...! cool piece of work...! definitely!

There's strange magic in this picture, Jim! I can see there all the ancient basic elements, the water, the earth, the fire and the air - connected by synaptic strings to make the wholeness aiive, and yet to melting with surroundings. I think this is a picture where the word BRILLIANT fits so well!!! :-)

This feels poised for action caught at that moment that the decision was made ... kind of disconnected in a way??

I find myself questioning what is more and what is less abstract in these works. Very intriguing.

looks like your imposing an  atop your work. that is a very curious idea considering the medium.

I've been back a few times to try and find words that adequately express what I feel about this creation, yet, everything seems cliche, which this definately is not. That's what I love most about your work, its so original I'm always intreaged as to what you are saying :) hugest hugs Thank you so much for creating and sharing :)

Not sure what to make of this Jim I have viewed it many times now. I do like the colouring and I like the cross of the composition. I guess I am struggling with the empty headspace. But then that could be what it is all about. One thing I will say you have got me looking the arm and leg folding itself into the canvas are great. I guess I do like it even with the empty headspace. But then tomorrow is another day LOL

Uniquely you Jim, gives me again a feeling of fragile glass and stregth of the earth, synaptic magic!

Damn this is cool. Once again you have placed a deceptive amount of depth into this image Jim. At first glance the details didn't leap out at me, but after looking around this one more and more of this image became clear to me. Very cool my friend... I totally diggit.

Unusual for you in the technical sense. You can still very clearly make out the shapes in the picture you started with, and most of the symbolism is fairly clear. On the other hand, there is certainly something in the posture that cannot be summed up so easily, so I guess it is still Synapse-esque in its own way
