Description

Ok. Now I need all those geeks like me (30 years old and would watch Thomas even if my kids weren't home), and anyone else who has seen the shows to give me some feedback. As you have seen on my previous images, the Thomas and Lady faces are flat. I haven't been able to get Bryce to build a good, posable face model...BUT...I did some altering in Poser and editing in Bryce and came up with a (kinda) posable face. I can ungroup the face and move the eyes and I have a whole series of different facial expressions for Lady. This is one of her smiling. If you have to, get your kids in the room to look at this. Is this too different than the shows face? Any suggestions (remember, I can only do what the dials (Poser) and numbers (Bryce) let me)? Should I just keep the faces flat and expressionless? Give me something to work with...PLEASE! Jeff

I know the eyes need to be bigger, but you might be surprised how that changes the complexity of what has to be done to get this far.

Cinders & Ashes, this is a great model! My kid would love this train. My only recommendation is that their cheeks are over accentuated and add a little bit of eyes lashes, but besides that you've got it right. Very nice job!

Dear Jeff, I think I like the more cartoon image from the previous post more and that is just because I've got the images from the show too firmly in my mind. If I hadn't seen the show, then I might prefer the more "real" looking face. To do them like the show, I think if just the eyes can circle around, you can do a lot of the characterization. The web site does a lot with just moving the eyes. Excellent work and a lot of fun! Love, Meredith
