BIO
Started in 1981 with graphical simulation of industrial robots - part of my studies of math in Stuttgart (Germany). Then, by accident, 1984 Bavaria Film asked me to do computer animations for Enemy Mine (director Wolfgang Peterson, produced in Munich, Germany). That was my start into the more creative part of the business. From there on til 1991 i worked as an animation designer with several sorts of software (BTS FGS 4000, TDI, ...). We did commercial animations but tought students (from the Stuttgart Academy of Art) as well (half-half). After that i had the opportunity to make a move into event and "classical" design business. And there I still am - doing mostly print design in a little agency I am running with some friends. I kept always an eye on the 3D business, but only with the appearance of Vue d'Esprit on Mac i found a sort of way back into 3D graphics. This software for me is the ideal combination of easy-to-use and quality results so it was great fun to work with from the first moment on. Let's see where this all will drift to - who knows. The sepia work great with this shot Walther. As for the cause of the house, it wouls appear to be a mild case of insanity. An amazing place you have captured.

Excellent capture of some unique architecture! My guess is that when the trees grew tall they lost their view, so they built taller to get their view back. Or maybe it is an equalizer. Stuff does roll downhill you know!

Very cool photo, Walther...and what a strange house! I wonder if they're expecting a Viking attack or something?

Maybe they ran out of stone when building the tower!! Whatever the reason, it makes a lovely photograph and you must enjoy seeing it as you go by! Excellent photo, Walther!!!!

like out of the past. looks wonderful in this sepia tones. das Haus sieht irgendwie lustig aus, wie es so auf dem Turm steht.ich stelle mir vor, das im Inneren ein Steinway Flel steht und jemand die Wanderer Phantasien von Schubert spielt. BraVo Walther. #:O)

Wendy, you silly, little twit! To me, it's quite obvious that the house came first and they ran out of beams and such...hence the addition of the tower...LOL! Great shot, walther...sets me to wondering if maybe all these structures aren't built with hydraulic lift systems so they can take turns catching the sun...'-)?!?

I'm not very familar with the history of the Black Forest but this house is not so unusual as it seems to be. I suppose it is the oldest building of this town and the manner it was build shows what they intend: Defence against enemies. The windows in the lower parts of the building are much younger than the rest - originally there must have been only small gaps. I didn't know till now that a house like this really still exists - must be a very interesting thing to hear something about his history. Beautiful image, Walther!

I think the house was on the ground first in a nice secluded spot with a beautiful view. then nasty people came and started building higher houses around that one so they could see the view and the owners of the cottage decided to raise their house and keep their view! Non? Fun place, Walther! I would not mile to carry groceries up to that house.

A very quaint little town and that house on the tower is most unusual.Linda may be right about the view.:o) CC

Protected by trees and mountains. Unique and gozy place. Must be hard to get your shoppings up there ;) You've "painted" very well with your camera. Love the light play Walther.

Very neat "treehouse"...is this original Blackforest style? ;) Very nice and interesting picture, Walther. I also like that old fashioned monochrome look you created here. :)))
