Description

The Anasazi were an ancient and mysterious people living in the New Mexico and Arizona area. From around a thousand years ago up until the 1300s, when they suddenly vanished. They built their villages in the cliffs of canyons and built roads and structures that may have been based on astronomical alignment. This is an archeological site that housed hundreds of families. Large structures called Great Houses were thought to be for ceremonial purposes, but I believe they were parking garages

We have Anasazi ruins in Colorado too...although these look more like the Anasazi Rentals. :) Cool idea, well executed.

Anasazi Arces, a little known timeshare venture that went bust around 1280 AD. Nicely done.

I don't know if you have ever been to Manhattan....nor to my playground as a child, but this, this is 21st and 1st ave, yes Dave, trees on top and all. I am blown away. The curve of the original building is squared off where this is more fluid. OMygosh...Its so fantastic when out of the blue, someones imagination can bring you an actuality.....hahaha...how cool is that? Yes, Dave, there were trees on the top of the buildings...promise.....(= Excellent!

Only thing missing is the piles of Guano-based compost bins...what a great twist on an old idea!

An excellent picture. I think of Anasazi quite often. The drought here makes me think the same thing happened to them...
