WHO'S TO SAY
WHAT'S PLANTED HERE-
A FLIK OF SEED
& POUND OF TEAR
A FLOWER OR A MONGREL WEED
A PORTION OF THE ONE TRUE DEED
PERFORMED WITH GOD & WITHOUT FEAR
ALONE THE GRACE OF LOVE REDEEMED
CARESSED & HELD ABOVE THE DREAMED
THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT WHO WILL KNOW
IN WHOSE GARDEN KINGDOMS GROW?

When I first moved into my new home I found out that there was a woman who lived here before me who was dying of Cancer but also learned how she tried so hard to keep her garden growing through her sickness. As I wrote this down I thought of her & also used the word 'gardens' as a metaphor to describe the mysteries & grace of life & the "you never know" divine aspect of it. We are complex creatures & one must tread lightly sometimes. O, I hate having to explain my poetry!!!!.....besides-it rhymes!

I love it! Also you don't have to explain... It is perfect. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful piece! Yep, a dandelion is a weed to some and a treat to a lucky wabbit. WINK. Ah, the mysteries of life.
