Description
Found this little yellowhammer (right name in english ?) on a walk through forest. Have seen them many times before but could never capture one of those shy birds like this time.
In my language it's called "Goldammer".

Yes Chris, a yellowhammer. Very nice shot, though to make it perfect you might clone out the leaf in the foreground? Just my opinion! Regards, Steve.

Yep, the leaf is a bit disturbing - to me. Also the bird seems to be a tiny bit out of focus, compared to the twig he's standing on? Still .. wonderful work :) Sorry for nagging ...

Sometimes, one has to take chances in getting the shot!...can never practise these....imo, fine shot and congrats ;)

Great shot.

Excellent shot and lighting, agree that the leaf is bit distracting. But can be easily fixed. What matters is that the shot is exposed properly and contrasts came out good through the lens.

Ciao Chris. A really lovely little bird, and with a wonderful name too ! I love this bird, so colourful, not easy to see, and less to photographed ! Great shot again.

wonderful composition... such great color... the almost matching leaf really adds something. Excellent shot.

Very nice shot. the leaves accent the bird or the bird accents the leaves one of the two! ;) Vote

A beautiful bird. I like the leaf there as is shows that the bird and the foliage are similar in color. A perfect camouflage. A beautiful photo.

LOL!!!
