Hello everyone,
Where you brought up w/a
superstitious mother?
Well my mother wasn't only very
supertitious she also told fortunes
and she was very good at it.
As far as the supertitions
you wouldn't dare go under a ladder
you certainly would cross the street
should a black cat try to pass your path
I always thought she just wouldn't
want the ladder to fall on me lol
and her black cats meant bad luck
(guess I didn't listen well) lol
so being friday 13th I couldn't
let this one go by
(smile)
Don't laugh at my own made ladder
cause it will bring you bad luck
(IN E_MAILS from me) lol

I love this one! Kind of gives Friday the 13th its own holiday! Great job Evie! I love the detail on the ladder you really did a great job of giiving it that broken down look. I didn't listen either I own a black cat. And she's great to have!

I was never superstitious and jumped on every crack I could find... Never hurt my back none.. course Mom can barely walk now... but that's just because she bumped the ladder while stepping over the black cat, that was crossing under the ladder, and knocked the paint can down on her head during the previous friday-13th. Actually, I always found friday-13th's were very lucky for me. Today, got lot's done.. program came up first try, lucky for me. And... What's wrong with your ladder.. I think it's pretty cool, has character my friend! Nice image here Evie. Lot's of atmosphere. Excellent job. Hugs... Dave :^) V ...Ps. You hear George is taking a sabatical? Gonna miss the ol coot! Very creative sis I have always been just a tad superstitious I never go back the same way if I forget something Cross my self if a black cat runs in front of me And I try to avoid walking under ladders Me superstitious nahhhhhhhh not one bone in this old body lol just teasing yes I am Its a great image for Friday the 13th thank heavens nothing bad happened that day Vote n hugs Susan~

Dear Evie, I have been so out of it, I didn't even realize that last Friday was the 13th! So - I guess it wasn't unlucky for me. By the way, Friday and the 13th are the most common day/date combination. It has to do with when the Gregorian calendar was adopted and our rules for leap years. I guess Pope Gregory wasn't very superstitious! A really cute picture!! Excellent work!! Love, Meredith
