Great scene. Dark mysterious mood. What I can see of the textures is great like marc I can't comment 100%, the image is pretty dark on my screen as well.

Thanks for the comments, folks. This is a bit of an experiment. I was aiming for a dark and mysterious mood and I know this is going to be a little challenging on some monitors! But I wanted a low light counterpointed by the stained glass with half seen details almost hidden in the gloom. If you look hard (or ramp up the contrast!) there's more structure than can be seen on first glance.

From your comments I think you achieved exactly what you were aiming for. I guess I'm lucky and have my monitor tweaked same as yours. I can see just enough to make the whole scene spooky. The same feeling one would get on an unfamiliar street alone after dark anywhere. I like it.

I like it too. I think that your thumbnail was too dark, though... I almost passed it over =) I like those ring things, very cool! =)

I copied the image over into Photoshop and duplicated it onto a new layer and applied a "screen blending mode" to the duplicated layer. I had to do that 3 or 4 times before I even realized that there is a person kneeling on the floor before the fog thing.

LOL! I didn't think you'd have to look THAT hard! Maybe I carried the gloomy temple idea a bit too far!
