My daughter went out to pick eggs the other day. She came up to me hiding something behind her back. She said, "You've seen eggs like this." And pulled a regular sized egg out from behind her. Then, trying not to laugh, she said, "But have you seen one like this?" And pulled out the other egg. All I could do was stare at it for a couple of seconds, eyes wide. Later we kept looking at the hens and all we could say was, "Ouch"! This picture doesn't really do it justice. This egg was twice as large as a jumbo and odd shaped. I don't know which of our hens laid it but she tends to lay big ones. This is her biggest yet. Oh, yes. My daughter ate it...over easy. It had 2 normal sized yokes inside.
