Description


I am a student at The Art Institute of Dallas focasing on enviromental modeling. Anyhow just wanted to get some outside opinions on this Alley enviroment. Not quite complete but you can get the idea.....

yeah this is a really good image,, love all the texture work. I love how all the parts are sloppy looking... like a not so perfect alley.

It already looks quite impressive, but maybe the wall texture could use some dirt, moss, fungus, oil stains, whatever..

It's very cool try brazil for the render you give a realistic enviroment to your scene.

Yes I also think you should try brazil, the only thing I have to add is: If you look att the shadow on one of the boxes, almost black and the shadow on the wall is not so dark. Try fixing this by 1 use another rendeing software or use negative light. I thing it's gonna be pritty nice!

the texture work looks great, aside from needing some more dirt and grime on the walls and the electrical panels. the real problem that stands out is the lighting and shadows. looks like there is a mix of raytraced and bitmapped shadows which doesnot look good. as for the lighting, you definitely need to account for reflected light as the shadow areas look too dark. either try a radiosity renderer or fake it with additional lights.
