Description

Modeled and rendered in MicroStation V8, background done with Terragen - panoramized and city added with Paint Shop. I decided on a unique, but fitting name for my creation... Vertix City. This, of course, is a progress shot, showing off the bay and distant metropolis. I have been working on city planning issues for well... the entire city since I made it a bayside attraction. Having a large body of water as a neighbor tends to change everything. Sort of like Manhattan was, I ended up having to put the tallest towers in a place all their own instead of my first instinct - at the center of the city. facades may look dark, because the sun is shining high and opposite the camera, but I though this picture still had some pretty good quality to it nonetheless. It's funny that I intended to just have one spiral, tallest tower as the city's greatest gem, but it ended up needing a twin. as I have been working on these issues, in the news the freedom tower design has come under attack by many, who are calling for the replacement of the twin towers. I have to wholeheartedly agree with them - if something is built in their place, it should be replacements that are even greater.

This is really looking fantastic! The Craiger Building is still my favorite. (I'm naming it after myself), but the cluster on the far right is beautiful, too.
