Funny that Locomouse and I both chose "Suite:Lydia" as a formula. I'm thinking to change the coloring on this one--perhaps iteration is not the ticket for the main figure, but here's where I am so far. UF

The colors and textures in the little ribbons is utterly astounding! DON'T CHANGE THEM! You can change the rest if'n ya wanna, but I like em!! Excellent piece!!

I found something very close to the base design of this one in Suite:Lydia today (I like to think of it as Sweet Lydia because there are so many sweet spots to explore in that formula) ... and I'm just glad I didn't try to do anything with it... because it would never have held a candle to this. Iteration is something I shy away from... only because I end up with blocky and "stepped" colors. But then, as my supervisor used to say when we played cribbage on our lunch break, "It'd be different if you knew what the hell you were doing." Point taken... :) You seem to be able to harness color and texture rather effortlessly, Toby... and I like to study your techniques. Thank you for some really fun formulas. Hugs and thanks! :) Helen

I'm not a real fan of all this color, but you pulled it off nicely. Fantastic spiral design. And I want to thank you, too, Toby. Your formulas and ucls are fun and awesome (so many varied and cool possibilities), and I appreciate the opportunity to use them.

Well, I don't seem to be able to do much without resorting to iterated colorings. And I'm still a beginner with textures, though I find them easier to harness with the mods I've made to those in my own colorings. And don't be modest Helen, your work is superb.

Wow! You can say that again! I think the iteration coloring does a great job here!

I am a great fan of your coloring. This is a beauty and the coloring is much to my liking.

I'm charmed with the way the center "ribbons" fit into the 'holes" in this fun spiral! There's something about the construction that reminds me of Dr. Seuss:) I've always loved your colors, and this is no exception. You have given us splendid tools to work with, and I join the others with a public "thank you"!

In a strange way I see eyelets and laces on a funky pair of spiral shoes. I love the coloring! And thank you too for all the "Brews" my personal favorites!

I like the shapes and textures a lot here. I'm not keen on the colors, but I wonder if I simply don't like them on this background.

I love the ribbons! I really like images with these contained motifs. I never seem to be able to find them. This one flows beautifully :)

I thank you all for your kind comments about my formulae/colorings. I am happy that I learned enough to be able to create some useful tools. I must admit that writing them is often more gratifying than using them, especially when I know that others find them useful too.

Exciting forms and coloring!!
