Description

"Escape From Reality" By David J. Reid aka "Shardz" Software used: Poser 6, Vue 5, Photoshop CS *~* Dedicated to FracturedMoon! *~* Probably my favorite genre of all time is fantasy themed subjects; if for no better reason than to allow me to escape the harsh realities and complex complications of real world life. Being completely immersed in a strange and mystical world with impossible creatures and fantastical characters is always the epitome of interest in my mind. Another form of escapism for me is meeting outstanding artists and sharing artwork and experiences together; befriending people who not only share your same passion, but add to the growing database of marvelous artwork which we hold so close to our hearts. One day in my travels here on Renderosity, I was blessed by a random act of kindness by a very talented and sweet artist by the name of Fracturedmoon. Her generosity, sincerity and enlightening words came at a time when I needed it most, and it serves as a reminder to me as to how special people really are on this site. As it turns out, Christine is a very gifted and talented artist who also enjoys creating beautiful fantasy artwork for all to view, and her gallery is full of fantastic images which I truly enjoy. OHHHHHH MY LORD!!!!!!!! (chokes on my ginger-ale)This is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! I do not know where to start to say what I like best... Your composition of this image is SPECTACULAR!!!!! I LOVE the character & that outfit is awesome!!! That star gate thing is unreal!! You did an excellent job at making it look so real & those little green men are the Q-test!!!!!!! This is absolutely amazing!!!!! The dedication to Christine is so very true of her, she is a wonderful,kind, talented,generous person that is always there with kindness and love...the image is just unbelievable! The word 'excellent' doesn't do this justice my friend, this is the most amazing pice of art I've seen to date...the attention to every little detail from her ring and necklaces to the effects of the portal and her staff are simply unbelievable and the way you continued the portal's glow to encompass her body...I'm (practically) speechless.

Outstanding work! Before I read the second part of your description I came to the same conclusion, that perhaps the world she has just entered is not quite the escape that she had wanted. This is a very complex and colorful work, all the elements are very fantastic, in the genre sense as well as the technical. Great imagination and perseverance, you talent is quite amazing.

This is such a fantastic picture in every way David. Your composition is amazing and the image couldn't have a better title. The colours that you have used is so fantastic and all the effects and details makes this picture to a really fantasy-picture. In times like this when I want to comment a picture that says so much and are such as good as this, I really whis that I could write english better so I could explain all the thoughts I have about your image. Unfortunately I can't and I think you don't understand a word if I write it in norwegian ;) This is really excellent work David! the quality of the objects and figure as well the clothes is out of this world. I do not see this quality often. Stargate is in the top two scfi favorites of mine and I tried vainly 2 years ago to make a gate but never done well-VOTE

You can be very proud to have done this image!!!! The skin is so detailed that i can read her future in her left hand! The stargate effect is perfect also. There are so many details here it takes some time to discover all that is build in this fantastic piece, thanks for the nice time i have discovering... David my friend, you always wow me with your work, the sharp contrast in colors here , just grabs the eye right away, The shere bueaty of the model, and the action in her pose only add to this.
