Description
This picture was taken right after the truck left the starting line. There was an explosion under the hood. Notice the debree up in the air. This is pieces of the hood. This is the second picture I took in a series. The first one was blurry but it showed debree about 80 feet in the air. The guy in the picture is grabbing the fire extinguisher. A piece of the hood about 5ft.x 2ft. landed in the stands. No one was hurt seriously

super capture and too bad about the ride. I was a photographer for a combo sportsman class/nascar race team years ago. we had race in two cities on the same weekend and I took 11 rolls of film and someone stoled 10 at the developer

motorsport can be dangerous, thankfully no one was seriously hurt...a fine capture of what happens when things go wrong.
