very well composed wide fantasy scenes! The post worked version looks amazing and gives off a deep dark comforting mood.

Both are stunning images and have their own charms! I agree with lilzeek with the post worked version; it's very moody and lends a mysterious feeling in itself! Excellent work on this pice, and thanks for the comparisons, quite enjoyable and splendidly done!!!

Looks like something i-popba might make. Well done! Very dark and moody, reminds me of Lord of the Rings as represented by Peter Jackson. Excellent!

Great landscape work! Since I like the details/texturing, I'd have to say I like the first one best.

I really like the blue color and the whole image works for me. Full of atmosphere and intrigue - superb postwork - bravo!

I have to disagree... The straight render is a million times better. The postwork is too busy and really detracts from the mood of the image, makes it a chaotic jumble in comparison. I really FEEL more from the original, that's all!

Wow, can't believe I missed this one. In my opinion, as good as the original render is, the postworked image is absolutely fantastic. Stylistically, it reminds me a bit of those illustrations Sidney Paget did for the Sherlock Holmes stories, especially the ones set in the Moors.

I truly love the post worked version. I like the original, but the post worked image is right up my ally. The sense of foreboding danger the image evokes is something I have tried myself, but have never quite managed to achieve. Your Photoshop skills are something I envy but your choice and understanding of colours and how to create such an atmosphere is what I really admire. I have been running searches on the net for years, looking for tutorials on dramatic lighting and colour pallets, to create just such a scene. Well done to you, Brad. You have created a masterpiece (in my eyes) and though it may be a bit late, You have my vote:)
