Description
As so many countries, Holland had an enormous amount of private railways and tramways in the past. Most of them disappeared.
There is an old railway still existing between the cities of Hoorn and Medemblik. Not an official railway, but one runned by volunteers. They mainly use steam engines for their trains and also in other ways they try to do their best to get have the 1926 atmosphere back.
We made a trip from Medemblik to Hoorn and it was great fun.

Wow!!! Are you sure that train isn't headed for Hogworts? Looks like is just stepped out of the pages of a Harry Potter book. I bet you had a great time riding this classic.
