Description

Vue 5I and a ton of PSP - Another one of those accidental discoveries, this time using procedural materials for the skin. This entire image (except for the eyes, lashes, brows and hair) uses a simple procedural material for the skin. It is composed of one noise layer for the skin pores mixed wth a soft noise layer for the larger skin bumps. It renders extremley quickly but it requires the use of a postwork smudge brush to blur out the details in the darker areas. The colors on this came out very funky which is why I converted it to a greyscale image. When I perfect the colors, I will post this material in free stuff.

I'd say you passed the test with flying colors! This is simply amazing work utilizing procedural textures; it came out so detailed and perfect! I'd love to see a colorized version of this image! Excellent work!

Excellent work, looks quite real. Just a crazy idea but could you use a mixed material with this and another smoother skin texture and then have them mixed based on steepness of slope? Might not need the postwork then. Just a thought anyway.
