Description

All UF except the layering for the presentation within frame, & name. Anyone seen the crown jewels based in the Tower of London? Huge diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, topaz, oh! you name it...it's there. Queen Elizabeth I sent Francis Drake out onto the high seas to discover new lands. He brought back potatoes and tobacco amongst the wealth of gold and natural treasures. Bessie and her court weren't too impressed with the tobacco, 'What! you wrap it in a leaf, stick it in your mouth and set fire to it and inhale the smoke, or alternatively you, grind it down and snort it up your nose, what does that do for you?'....'It makes you sneeze & cough, Your Majesty' he replies sincerely. 'Frank, my dear, I'll dub you knight, but you need a holiday pal!' Bessie loved the pearls though! Here's an interpretation of what she may have worn, (just before she gave the order to chop off Mary Queen of Scot's head!) Sincere thanks for all visits and comments on Beauties in the Deep. Happy Monday Mac

Perfect pearls - the colours are beautifully used and I love the spin on British history - if you had been my history teacher I might have remembered things better!!
