Description

Palmyra (in the desert of Syria) or the fabulous city of Queen Zenobia , appeared for the first time in the 2nd millennium BC. Palmyra was an ideal halt for caravans moving between Iraq and Al-Sham (present day Syria, Lebanon, Holy Land and Jordan), trading in silk from China to the Mediterranean.

How fascinating! Did you go into it? What an atmosphere. It looks so majestic. How I would love to jump back in time and spend a day there. This is a lovely image with the palms around it.
