Description

This was my entry to the Renderosity "For The Love Of A Child" contest. It is dedicated to all the parents of a child with a disability. Fear, nightmares, heartache, hours spent with doctors and therapists appointments, medical tests, surgerys, IEPs, mainstreaming, the looks and tears of disappointment because they can't do things "regular" children can are a few of the things only we can understand. Adaptation becomes a way of life. My youngest (now 20 years old) was born 9 weeks early and has Cerebral Palsy. He proved the first neurologist and physical therapists wrong by learning to walk and attends college. Sorry I haven't been commenting. Real life has been a priority and a circus. Hopefully things will normalize soon, whatever that is :D Thank you for taking a peek and, as always, suggestions or comments are appreciated. Sad, but extremely POWERFUL image. This ough win that contest. Sorry to hear about your son, but with love and confidence, people amaze doctors. I must say I am happy to hear your son was able to prove em doctors wrong, and I know U are happy for it too. This is truly a powerful image. Many children out there have disabilities, and this by far can reach into anyone's heart and show support for them all. This is by far the most powerful image I seen. Very nice dedication. U are indeed a heartfull man.

Dear Nancy, I am so sorry and so ashamed I am this far behind on visiting friends galleries. I have been so swamped with everything. The get well card slowed me down a lot. I have answered over 5000 IMs. Im so proud of our community! So many wonderful caring people! But it has left me terribly far behind on everything. Ive got 1500 e-bot notices Im trying to work through. Im going to visit all the current ones as quickly as possible and then work on the backlog as time permits. It will take me a while, but I will eventually catch up and will in time visit everyones postings. Until I can get caught up, Im gonna spend my gallery visiting time looking and enjoying and try not to type as much as I usually do. I hope everyone understands that I am running as fast as I can. This is so beautiful and so touching!!! And you really open your heart with both your words and your picture! You and your son are both very special people! Good luck with the contest and best of luck to you and your family in everything!! Excellent work!! Love, Meredith

Such an extraordinary moment you captured. You can feel the very special bond between them - just look at the smile on the Mother! Your own trials have added to the emotion of this piece making it all the more real. Wonderful, wonderful work!
