Another image from my fotoreport about weekend travel to Sanct Peterburg This is Avrora. Old russian ship. October 25 1917 152-mm forward gun fired the shot. It was a signal to start assault the Winter Palace. It was revolution.

Very good shot of the ship. I was hoping to get a good view of her. This is the last of its type: broadside cruiser with all guns in mounts rather than turrets/casemates. You got a few more to show I hope?

Ironic that this old class Iron Clad battleship has seen the ages pass and Russia change so much. When you think about it this grand old lady has seen the Titanic come and go. Hitler, JFK and USSR rise and fall. Fantastic photo.
