Description
After seeing the movie "Black Hawk Down", I got the idea for this image.
Three men, abandoned by their countrymen, trying to get out of this hellhole alive.
This image is dedicated to all of those whose blood stains the ground in foreign countries, fighting for a politician's war.
Somalia and Vietnam were two of the worst messups ever to plague the United States. This is for all of those who died with honor, bravely fighting on a horrific battlefield.
I can't even imagine, nor can anyone who has not been in that situation.
Especially the US Armed Forces, since I am a US citizen. And the Israeli Armed Forces, which have to fight for their country in truly hellish environments, where often they cannot tell friend from foe and where the foe is willing to murder hundreds of innocent civilians practically every day just to make a point. There is no honor in such combat.
We honor your memory.
Thank you to all of you.

You got my vote on just the subject matter alone even without the outstanding render. This inspires me to attempt a piece of my own someday when my talents improve. Sadly too late for abandoned challange and sadly too early in my capabilities, but some day I'll do one honoring my friends who served on the USS Pueblo and were abandoned to captivity for 181 days.
