I do a lot of sci-fi writing in my free time, and I like to use Bryce as a way to supplement my writing, as it can give me the ability to design the ships that I think of for my stories. It sometimes allows me to better visualize the scenes that I write about. This is an image of a fightercraft from one of my stories, originating from a warlike aliend race called the Kluijimaak. I modeled and rendered (completely) the scene in Bryce 5.5 and then used Photoshop 7 to create an effect that made it look as though this new ship was being videotaped. The graininess and white glow come from the Diffuse Glow filter in PS and the pixelation is due to a de-interlacing video function in PS (I didn't stop the render part way through).
