Description

I took this after this guy swooped down towards me he went to rest on another tree and I followed him. I wanted to test out my close-up capabilities and zoom with my new Nikon 7900... I thought it did pretty well much better than I am used to with the Kodak.... Wasn't going to put it up but thought I like it so I would today... after this I visited his home...(his home is im my gallery too hehe) if you missed it and want to see his big swoop .. You can see him in my gallery. Put it up last week for Cynlee."Swooped away". Who is so wonderful! This is the 3rd owl in my gallery... I also did a hand painted one smudged with a mouse ...of a spotted owl done by mouse and smudging..."the spotted owl who lost his mask". Anyways this will be short and sweet you are probably tired of my rambling... I wanted to thank all of you on here for your time and support and let you know that I haven't tried to earn points and get votes back by voting... just do it cause I love the work...seems to be allot of contraversey on here about that issue.. I just love art and photography and feel privileged to be on here and I have a deep respect and admiration for everyone on here that shares... sick again today so I am behind again in my comments.. (that and my teenager Annie is hogging the puter all day lol has to talk to all her pals in chat and it's hard to come on sometimes -bought her a new one should be ready soon counting the days..!!) hugs &Hearts; Kimmers!!

I love owls and this is a great shot! I have owls all over where I live, but I can never find one to capture :( so I'm a bit envious. :)~ You did a great job with the postwork, too. :)

Oh what a magic macro photo with this so beautiful owl head! The closeup/zoom quality of your new Nikon 7900 is really fantastic and oh sorry - your fast action by following the owl fabulous! ;-) His beak and the big round eyes are marvellous! I also like the way of your postwork how you have integraded him into the excellent black background with the wonderful 2D frame around! Brilliant animal photography - I love it! Bravo!!! VOTE

Great zoom! He is quite a character. Don't worry about the voting thing. Been going on for years. Do what you feel. I vote, but no one knows when I do. I don't even bother to acknowledge the issue any more. I just have fun. That's what it is all about! ...and your images are so much FUN!
