I'm actually quite impressed. I see it as symbolic, the core of a heart has been extracted ... heartache is never an easy thing to manage. Excellent imagery.

For a first attempt it's pretty darn good. Of course art is about expression and moods. (IMHO). On the technical side tho, perhaps the bump map could do with a little sharpening up. At the moment it looks less like a metallic material because of it's softness. Of course this all depends on how much realism you want to inject. Also the highlight? on the ground is a little distracting. Perhaps your ground shader has specular switched on? Keep it up tho and if you need any tips or pointers, I'd be glad to help. The forums here are good too. You've made an excellent choice using Cinema 4D!
