Description

Quick Update on the Jeep Project: Added a modified crossbar system from Rockhard 4x4 over the rear seat (photos). Problems (as usual - LOL) ----- Wrong size sent: They sent the wrong crossbar (clamps too small for the stock roll bar). Solution was to get the right diameter clamps from the vendor and weld them to the cut ends (I didn't discover the size problem until after I had cut the pipe). Lenght: Between '97 - '04, the width of the roll bar varied by one inch (precision manaufacturing?!) Mine came up 1 1/2 inches short when I attached one side. Solution was to use the tow strap and a ratchet "come along" to pull the roll bar in enough to attach the other side. Additional accomplishments: ----- Instrument panel lights are fixed and a new inclinometer has been installed and is working with the Jeep panel lights. Upcoming: ----- Snorkel: Instructions are wrong, so I'm figuing that out this weekend. Oil pan skid plate: As soon as the torque wrench arrives, I'll get the Jeep off the ground and install the plate. Description said "...uses existing holes and regular tools...". Nope, gotta replace some front axle bolts and drill some holes in the transfer case skid plate. Winch: Since the tax refund came in, I finished out the wish list purchase with a T-Max 9,000 lb winch. I figure it will be here in a week. Sorry about the long blurb. Thx for viewing and commenting!

i dont but I really wonder what all this has to do in this ART website. Even you are a member etc..you could voice your greavances in a more appropriate forum or website where interested people are more l;ikely to read and comment or the manufactuers are likely to get NEGATIVE REVIEWS!

Because the modification of an existing vehicle, when done with style and craftsmanship, is an art form in and of itself.

This is great! An artist, in his own fashion, in world of his own! I'm sure there's room for all interests here at R'osity...

I should be back to the art again shortly. I have a Mojoworld render running as we speak. (GRIN) With any luck, I'll be picking up the LW 8.3 upgrade soon...
