Monuments in Lincolnshire Churches, and 100 monumental days in RR with 100 continuous postings and my thanks to you all for your support. Left to right and top to bottom. 1. Part of massive monument in the church of St Michael & All Angels at Heydour. 2. In the parish church of St James in Spilsby is the effigy of Catherine (d.1610) the daughter of Sir Peregrine Bertie, Governor of Berwick on Tweed. She died in childbirth along with her child. Beside her is the little marble model of a cradle containing an effigy of her baby. 3. Sir Thomas St Paul (d.1582) and his wife Faith Grantham. He was MP for Grimsby and twice Sheriff of Lincolnshire. 4. In the chancel of the church of St Michael at Glentworth is this tomb of Sir Christopher Wray, Queen Elizabeth I

As one of the lucky ones who can see the whole width of this epic post, I have to say well done. The cross layout it very appropriate to the subject matter, and each image could hold its own as a photo in your gallery. The layout in the form of a Latin cross is a splendid idea! The individual photos give a good impression of a few select pieces of art, among the countless masterpieces that can be found especially in European churches.

well done Dave on all accounts! wish i had some cool stuff like this in my neck of the woods. guess that's what you miss out on when a country is so young! all your captures turned out peferct, do you use a flash when taking these? doesn't look like it as the light is very even! very well done my friend!!!
