Description
For this image I used a technique called Smart Sharpening. I just read a Smart Sharpening tutorial by peterke in the Renderosity Photography Forum Resource Center...thanks peterke :-)
http://market.renderosity.com/~photo/newweb/index.htm
This is my first try using/the technique so please don't judge the technique by my image. Basically Smart Sharpen is a very good way to sharpen an image by precisely sharpening edges thus preventing extra noise and color corruption.
I thought it was such a cool technique I had to share it here...
Thanks for looking, -Peace :-)
p.s. I am pretty sure this one is a bee...

i was just in the forum earlier tonight and didn't see that. well, i didn't have time to look at everything. almost 5:30 a.m. here...close to my bedtime. i'll look in the morning. i have a really hard time with sharpening photos. if i sharpen them, people tell me it's oversharpened. if i don't sharpen them...well, they're not as sharp! LOL! unsharp mask i find hard to use. i definitely wanna try this technique!!! sure hope it's free! :) Your sharpening here looks perfect, Jeff! and i love the image too! i like those stripes on the bee and you caught some fantastic detail on it's body and head! Gorgeous flowers!!! thanks again! will be great to be able to sharpen my images without noise! :)
