Description

This may not be the most fitting image compared to some. But I wanted to show a strong warrior type to represent the strength that we all have the ability to unleash inside of us. I would like to dedicate this to all who are experiencing hard times with a special dedication to a few people: dolfijntjes, Tallpockets and iamkate101. dolfijntjes has taught me a valuable lesson this year. That no matter how bad I think I have it, there are others out there who have it worse. See, sometimes it's hard to look past your own pain and suffering to see someone else's. You become so consumed by the hurting, anger, fear, frustration, helplessness and suffering that you can't even begin to think about anything else except how you are going to get through the day... And to Tallpockets who I know is having his own problems right now. And Kate, you have so much strength, woman, that I have to admire you for it. You are a survivor, girl! And a special note...Please, please don't under estimate anyone's illness because they may not look ill. There are many diseases out there that can be hidden by make-up, smiles and going through the motions of everday life... There is one thing that you can do, and that is EDUCATE yourself about your condition, your loved one's conditions....Knowledge truly is power! Sorry to carry on so. I guess I feel rather passionate at the moment. :) I have alot bottled up inside. Melissa

Please, let me add that the lesson I learned was to appreciate the abilities and the quality of life that I have, even if it's not 100%. By focusing more on what I can do, rather than can't do it is much easier to maintain a positive attitude....

Everything you have written is SO true!! I have been guilty many times of not taking someone or something serious enough. That has changed thats for sure. Those are beautiful words Melissa never forget yourself it's okto say some days I hate feeling this way. Shout at yourself and everything 5 minutes a day Cry when needed. But always look at the little things around you at the sun shining a little flower trying to come out at a butterfly dancing in the sky. Try to see the beauty of it try to think I'm a lucky person being able to see that to feel the sun. Try to smile at least once a day. And the people that can't see the real you who don't look behind that smile or won't look behind that smile...They are not worth the energy concentrate on those who want to know the real you with all the pain and with the smile. I learned the hard way. Being sick means loosing people not friends real friends you never loose keep that little butterfly in your mind hun and try to smile every day at least one time....hugs Ang
