Description

Fujian Niltava -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Class - Passeriformes Species - Niltava davidi Is a colourful bird 18cm in length. The male has a dark blue and red brown plumage while the female has a grey-brown plumage with a red-brown tail and wings. They live in southern China, in winter they fly to Thailand, and Indo-China. They can be found in thick brushwood in the Sichuan, Yunnan, Fujian and Guangxi mountains. It is a typical forest niltava. Taken in quite poor conditions this was the best one from many I took Canon 10D 100-400 IS ISM with 1.4 converter ISO 800 @ 125th at f4 Thanks for taking time to look and any comments

Yep, definitely a Fujian Niltava (who am I trying to kid, could be a chicken for all I know). Excellent shot under the circumstances. Once the teleconverter's on it's a right pain to take off in a hurry - that I DO know!
