Description

Thanks for viewing !! :o) -- Broad-bodied Chaser - Libellula depressa Wingspan: 76 mm; Bodylength: 45 mm As the name suggests, a squat, very broad-bodied species, the male having a blue abdomen, and black-brown wing patches at the base of each wing. The female has a yellowish brown body, yellow patches on the sides of the abdomen and black-brown wing patches at the base of each wing. It is very much a coloniser of new ponds. It will utilise a range of water- bodies with still or very slow moving water, often well vegetated, and exhibits some tolerance to mild pollution. now this is truley brilliant photgraphy at its finest ..interesting captivating and wonderous!! you capture life with the unseen eye with your awesome macros and open up a whole new world to the minds eye that is a gift and a powerful thing i am inspired by you this morning i was out taking macros and thinking of you .. i have a new nikon 7900 and i cant seem to get it as sharp as you do guess it just takes practise!!
