Description

Well, this is my first attempt with the Cloud City tutorial from Daz. I think the whole process was fun and a major learning experience. I plan on using these models in the future with my Poser renders. Thanks for taking the time out to look at my work. Note: Initially, I had prematurely stopped the AA pass before it was finished, by accident of course. I have since cropped the image and sliced off the bit that wasn't finished. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

WOW - Excellent stuff. I also have that tut. I'm only about a quater the way through mine but it does seem very informative. Congratulations on completing it & this wonderful image. They should give you a certificate or something LOL Matt :-)

WOW again (and for the third time I see)! It looks fantastic. But wondering, why did you stop the last bit of the AA pass. Does not affect the outcome of this excellent image, I was just asking. Awesome job!

WOW, number five. It almost sounds like a song. I can't wait to do this in Bryce 5.5. Good question above, why did you stop the AA pass? I have one comment though, it looks like it needs to be a touch darker.

Glad you liked the tutorial, and you achieved great results. The only thing I would change is the shadow being cast on the city on the right. It kinda loses the scale when you see the shadows of the trees on the city.

Well, I wish I was in the clouds instead of charred woodlands for sure! I couldn't be more happy to be back home! Fantastic image with the tutorial, it really came out sweet and the atmospherics are sensational! I sure wish I had a climate controlled bubble at work!! The cities look majestic and the skies and lighting really top it off nicely! Excellent work!!

Very cool! I have one of the DAZ tutes and have yet to do it. If it's this fantastic, I really must try it. Side note: In Bryce if you stop rendering or lose power, just reopen Bryce (if it isn't) and click on the second render button from the right (continue render) and it will start from where it had stopped. You can also stop it, save the file, and continue rendering the same way.

This is extremely cool. I know I should be learning Bryce, but render times always scares me off :p. But again, awesome piece man. Two thumbs up.

Dear Rich, this is really amazing - you should be working for Lucas or ILM!! This is really good enough to be a movie matte painting just as it is!! I may have to give Bryce a try at some time, but like Randy above me, the render times scare me off. I'm always in such a hurry!! Excellent, excellent work!!! Love, Meredith
