I found Renderosity late on in 2003 and have since become an avid viewer of the tremendous talent on display. My contribution is just pictures I've drawn, daft sketches, favorite photos (mostly of landscapes and mountain days out) and comments and laughs with other members. Thanks to all at Renderosity and to people who contribute some amazing images and ideas.

Your stairs look like a strange flower. I often make a recurrent dream about a road which climbs in an "exponential" way. I try to go forward but it becomes more and more difficult and at the end I roll backward. Pretty close to your own dream : the further, the higher, the more difficult... I don't know how it could be "told" by a photo. It would be an interesting theme for a challenge...

magnificent capture of this exceptional stairs! it is always making thoughtful when the same dream comes up over years! dreamt about sitting in a wooden room under the roof, with some people and soldiers at a table, eating and above our heads the roof was burning and war around us, but we were eating like nothing had happened! ;o)

You're not going to believe this, but I wrote to someone a while back and told them of my fears of going up one of these staircases when I was a very young child. It led to the tower of a church but unlike yours it had no handrail whatsoever. I was on my own and very frightened. My grandparents were the caretakers of this church and I had gone exploring on my own. I ran so far up the stairs and then realized there was nothing to hold on to. I dare not turn around and it took for ever to step down backwards. I did dream of it occasionally and woke sweating with my heart beating like mad.

I just read how Salvador Dali used to throw himself down staircases for effect. Spiral could symbolise waking up, the movement of spirit/mind/personality into waking consciousness.

A lot of them... Yours is interesting and very rich in symbolism. I should tell my wife (the psycho) to read and analyse this! And your shot is an excellent illustration for your text. Compliments!

Your a brave guy that has conquered his fear as witnessed in this excellent image! Stunning image! Aloha!

I like this shot, and it fits your dream so well, I used to have this dream where I was falling over a cliff, there was never a lead up to it, it always started in mid air! It always ended just before I hit the rocks, I was a kid at the time but it went on for years, it was always the same white cliff face, years later I was climbing on the rocks at a local beach and looked up to see the exact cliff face, I have never had the dream since, cant explain it, no one can, probably never will. Been back many times. It still remember it vividly.

Recurring dreams, long time ago I had them (only as a boy), and it's hard to find out what the brain wants to tell us, but it might have something to do with an inner drive to seek the best place to be but being restrained somehow by conditions that literally narrow down the possibilites of attaining the desired place. Hard thing, but it might mean something. Impressive work, very frank of you to share this dream!

This reminds me of the cramped staircase inside Glenfinnan's monument, though I'm sure this must be somewhere else as the steps look a friendly depth here!
