Description
ok this is my first try to try to add in a tree.
The tree i got from an image online, in which i took it into photoshop amd created a mask to which i took out the parts that wouldnt be seen.
took me about 5 hours total ... and the landscape part is just my last upload, i will try to do a more complete scene for my next test
comments most welcome

The tree is a surreal and beautiful contrast to the otherwise harsh environment. I like the terrain, perspective, atmosphere and surface work. Great image!

cool mood...

Excellent integration!Imho may be only some effect on the tree to simulate the atmo haze (may be some more light and less contrast) to be perfect, exc shadow tree too!

Excellent mood. The light is simply striking. The pattern of shadows resembles me some most beautiful winter sunsets and recalls best memories. Thus, although the pic itself could be thought "grim", its emotional side is beautiful.

Wonderful test!!! Great light and atmosphere! It looks so good that is strange to see a cherry tree blossoming lonely in such place. It makes the composition more interesting.

great work on the tree/shadow...agree with superza re the haze, apart from that this is excellent (again!!)

Nice work on the tree integration! Shouldn't this side of it be more in shadow/silhouette since the light source is on the far side? Just a thought...I really like the idea though! Very nice terragen render too. The atmosphere and mood are excellent! :)

Thanks so much for the comments :)

I think you have the technique down. Nicely done.

Agree with environaut...the high sun would cast a darker shadow of the tree...but a tree blooming in the dead of winter or snow is a very sureal concept anyway...keep up the great work and post work :)
