from my part (as a non-user of 3dmax) everything seems very well done; the only thing that seems to be too perfect for those times is the anchor - the material looks rather modern...have a great day, mister!

Mikan is right, the anchor looks like stainless steel. It would have been made of iron, so darker and more pitted, less smooth. Also, the cannons you have shown on deck, are not of the period. They are known as "Carronades" (first developed at the Carron Iron Works, in Carron, Scotland in 1779, and not really used until the 1793-1815 wars), short stubby guns that were used for close-range action, usually loaded with grape shot to sweep the upper decks and the quarterdeck of the enemy ship's officers and seamen. This ship, as EVERYONE knows, was 200 years earlier when cannon were simple iron-banded tubes (some known as: Culverins, Demi-Culverins, Bombards, etc) firing stone shot or early iron ball, and before the poundage of the ball fired, denoted the scale of the gun used. (like: a 32-pounder, a 9ft, 5000 pound gun, firing a 32 pound ball) The wood texture does look good, sufficiently weathered, it should fit well with the model. Good effort, just replace the guns with the proper period pieces and it should look more accurate when done.

TOO MUCH bump textures
bonestructure
He's right, too much bump percentage. Take it down to 20 or 30%
