OK,
after I have found out yesterday that the pattern on her body goes down her legs to her ankle (and does not stop shortly below the knee!), I have deleted the old texture and started once again. After seven hours, it was complete.
Furthermore, I have done a bump map for the poser cat (yes, this is the poser cat :-) ) to be able to use it as a statue.
This is the first test render in Bryce. When I have taken the poor Ankh to the doctor who will have to heal her broken elbow, I will finally start step 4: make up the scene details in Bryce... (as I have last time shown step three and announced step four, the remaking of the body texture and the map for the cat are definitely step 3.5!)
