A new Northwesterner, transplanted from the East into the wonderful dark forests of Washington-- very far from where I started.
Graphics wise, I enjoy playing with just about everything. I've used all sorts of applications, and have favorite bits of each. Bryce, 3DS, Lightwave, DS, Poser, Painter and a bunch of others all have a place in my heart, head, and hard drive. They're all the work of brilliant, creative people, and I enjoy them, sort of the way some woodworkers collect tools.
Son's off to college, company's been sold, so I play in the mountains or on the machine as I figure out what comes next.

And at the institute, the said you were mad! Ha! :) Great experiment, wicked looking creature. Bad hair day and all.

Hmmm, I've had similar experience with Chars as particle emmiters. Some particles are from Char rest pos and some from character in motion (how I want it). REALly interestic pic!! That's a scary Triffid.

Absolutely fascinating! Your experiments are opening up whole new avenues of artistic expression using Sasquatch. It's kinda like alien-dreadlocks on a fuzzy jellyfish... fascinating... :o) VOTE!

Reminds me of that 3 commercial

I have no idea what you are saying, but it looks cool to me :-D

Your experiments are way too cool. More more more!

Re: Askguden-- yes, that was a mouthful. This is just a bunch of two point poly chains -- a single point poly rail extruded with 15 or twenty points. Then I radial arrayed it. Then I ran cloth dynamics on it. Then I rendered, applying Sas twice. . .once in the rest position (Sas instance below the Cloth instance on the Deform tab), and with another instance above the Cloth. That way one instance renders where the chains are at frame zero -- because its evaluated before the Cloth-- and the other instance gets evaluated at whatever frame of the simulation you're on. The tight blue helixes are the rest state, and I've also limited them to %30 of the "length along spline"; the ropey things are the full spline length, and show the effect of graity. I am thinking about deci6el's point. . .can't use emmitters for Sas, but could extract a motion path and use that a new spline. . .always something to explore

Excellent Experiment! The Fx You Can Acheive Are Sky-limit!

very nice!

Not sure what you're talking about, but this is AWESOME!!! Looks like some Lovecraft monster from another dimension!!

Thats really weird and really cool! Looks like it could be alot of things but to me it looks like a huge moble organic city for bug creatures.
