I live in Scotland, Livingston. Ever since I was young and had an Amiga I've been in to computer generated graphics...I briefly tried Lightwave back then but got no where fast! So about 8 years got my first PC and starting doing computer generated graphics again, i started with Bryce but I found that the program was not versitile enough (Boolean Modelling!!!!!yuck!). After about 6 months I got in to Lightwave and I have never looked back!

This is looking very cool. The only thing I can think may help the image would be to smooth out the hand rails, they look a bit blockish. Top work!

Meeza tinks yousa shoood taky di Jar Jar out! Or you will have to populate your scene with Ewoks, as it has a Star Wars theme to it. Apart from that I would add some rope railings on the connecting bridges, maybe smoke from a chimney or two for more life and dynamics. I would think about how this tree bearing community see and navigate at night such as fire stacks, torches etc. Judging by the thickness of them trees, it would have to be in some kind of tropical jungle, with a high humidity. So i would incorporate some haze to simulate scattered light from the moisture in the air. Overall it is taking shape cowps, keep it up buddy!

Helpful comments... hmmm... delete Jar Jar Binks... :oP Other than that, I think ZENO's covered all the major suggestions. What about a more aggressive bump for the thatch roofs?

oooZENOooo made some very helpfull suggestions. Again your sense of layout is excellent. I would like to see more detail in the trees. Place some bump maps and ramp it up. Also some holes here and there where some branches used to be or a lump or two. The roofs of the huts will look great with some Sasquatch treatment. I know it takes a long time to render but you can set it up then let it render while you go to bed to dream up some more great stuff. Some dangling vines will also add a nice touch and maybe a bird or two to accentuate the size of the trees. Other than that you're on your way to do some excellent work Cowps.
