Description
I believe this is a wolf spider, we have a whole bunch of these little guys just clustered all over the rim of the pool. taken with canon rebel xt, 15-55mm lens and a 6x macro multiplier, darn spider didn't wanna stay still to have his picture taken.

Terrific! I love it! Can't help you, you should ask to Jeroen (Enmos). I agree with you, please, don't kill them! Spiders are very useful in nature!

yeah I love spiders :) they keep those pesky flies and nats we get around here down to a minimum (lots of apple/pear/cherry orchards). So I avoid it when I can, i'll even scoop em' up from inside and take them outside rather then kill em'.

This looks like some type of jumping spider. It is most definitely not a wolf spider. Excellent capture! I wish I could find one of these guys...I love jumping spiders and haven't seen this variety before.

What's with you and chemicalbrother? LOL! Seems like you guys with the big bad cameras are fixated on taking photos of spiders. Great specimen and wonderful shots.

The spider in question is a "Daring Junpin Spider" or Phidippus Audax, Great shot!

Thanks Vokes :)

oooooooh nice spidey :) You're getting good results from your multipliers (may have to consider them over the VERY expensive 100mm macro i was planning on buying)

Ah the moving of the subject problem, I find that a swat with the slop or shoe works well to keep them in place! Seriuosly now this is a real spider!!! Great shot.

Probably a little jumping spider. Sometimes it's hard to tell between wolves and jumpers. I don't kill them any more, though when I was much younger they freaked me out. Now I just move to safer places if I find them in the house. Some are actually beneficial as they eat some of the other more onwelcome critters that might invade your pantry .. flour, cereal, etc. Nice shots.

lately I've had a small rash of hobo spiders in the house :S those aren't too friendly to keep around, they've been getting squished... had one black widow come into the house as well, wouldn't of ever saw it if it didn't decide to take and make a long little drop web down to the middle of the tv screen and just hang there, guess she wanted to watch tv up close... ha...
