Some advice would be not to walk behind it, thats what ive been taught when i was younger...horses can kick you Pascale. Other than that i dont think i have any more advice, i think you pulled it off with honours. Its a difficult shot, alot of similar colour on the horse and in the background. Your DOF brings out the horse perfectly. Have a most beautiful day #:O)

The carousel is still now; As if some merry race of fabulous steeds stands frozen in time. No more the cacophony of calliope music enmeshed with shouts of laughter, only the sough of wind. Limned now only with moonlight, darkened, hazy, otherworldly, shadows that seem to move play amidst the deeper shades. Painted ponies, eyes wide, hooves poised in mid-gallop, lunge as if bored with the endless circle they are destined to travel.

Verrrrrrry impressive, Pascale!!!!!! i haven't taken any pics of these at night...just during the day. Let me tell you i find them quite challenging...all the lights, mirrors, movement, reflections...not easy. You did a helluva job with this, girl!!!!! would make a wonderful poster!!!!
visionart
Picture perfect in every form...just excellent!addiek
James looks like he is champing at the bit to have fun. A frighteningly human smile. Like the royal famnily perhaps. I like imagining the attitudes of these things as if they were real. I know, childlike (probably a bump or two on the head...! ) LOL.

Nicely done - can't offer any advice I have looked at this merry-go-round many times knowing it would make a great shot but I have never been able to get one as good as this one :)

Very cool Pascale! I love how you subtly effected the backgroun, maybe a slight desaturation would have been nice too? Looks great!

Never knew a horse named James before, but horses and I don't get along very well anyway. They instinctively know that I am scared of them. Great golden lighting, the carnival at night is a magical time!
