Artwork to amuse, amaze, and sometimes terrify.
BIO
I started out illustrating my own non-fiction books. When I "went digital," I realized that I could be doing much more creative things and soon started doing illustrations that stood alone.
Since then I've created fantasy and science fiction book illustrations for Byron Preiss/ibooks, Delirium Books, Seattle Books, and many magazines and small book publishers. One highpoint of my work was having an illustration selected for the cover of Renderosity's first Digital Art for the 21st Century (with my work also appearing inside, too).
In addition to the artwork I have here at Renderosity, I have more pictures "for your viewing pleasure" at DuncanLong.com

Thank you for this powerful reminder that freedom isn't free! Blessings to you and all of us who enjoy our freedom at the expense of others. May we remember them in special ways today and honor them every day. Excellent work!

A potent symbol, especially these days when we are asked to give up a little freedom here, a little freedom there, all in the name of freedom.

Powerful and moving. No explaination needed for this image.

Good image. Could be Guantanamo bay or Kishon Detention Centre.

I think it's an intellectual mistake to suggest that Guantanamo Bay is anything like the Holocaust, even though it is common for many to engage in such hyperbole (and I am not suggesting you were doing this, Mark_uk, so please don't think I'm trying to launch a flame war here). It is good to debate the morality of treatment to prisoners of war. But I think there is a vast difference between mistreatment of soldiers who are prisoners of war and the systematic executions of civilians who have done nothing other than try to exercise their cultural beliefs, or perhaps even less when they are killed simply because of the ethnicity (as weve seen everywhere from Rwanda to the Balkans over the last few years).

This one took my breathe. My dad was one of the liberators of those prison camps many years ago, and this image brought his words to mind. He's deceased but I will always remember his words about this. Thank you for making us remember lest the world forget. ~~~ Never again. Perfectly rendition.

This one makes me feel trapped. Reminds me of stories in which an animal in a trap will chew off it's own foot so that it may live. Thought provoking... :0)

ehhhh, its a typical response of mark_uk. He's kinda vapid. This is an excellent image, and a fitting tribute. Well done.
