Description

I've recently been experimenting with textures and mental ray. I've used Depth of Field here as well, all on quite high settings as hopefully you can see ;) This is just one shader on a flat poly plane with a displacement map and a nice red yellow/yellow ramp mapped on incadesence for the lava. plus a glow. Feedback is welcome. P.s. believe it or not this took nearly 4hrs to render ;) I think I may need to tweek the settings a bit.

Looks awesome, congrats! I'd say it looks like a cracked ground rather than lava. I think lava's cold parts are a bit more black.

Thanks for the comment :) I think your right, it should be a bit darker. I might re-render, for now I'll just change the title to cracked ground :D
