Description

This peice was a ton of fun (and a ton of time) to do. The background (cavern&water plain) was created in Bryce5.5 by placing the camera deep in the cave and rendering it as a 360 panorama. The fun part was comming up with the right light/texture/reflection and refraction combo's. The finished product you see actually has only 2 "live" props ... as a scene gets more complex, I do a full render then pick certain objects to delete, then use the render as a new background. The end result is a realitively seamless blend of background to foreground composition. Sorry this is so long winded, but like I said the project was alot of fun and I wanted to share the 'expereince' ! The moon prop courtesy of Cliff Bowman, available @ DAZ in the freepository. The planetarium is by Technology3d and is available here in the free stuff area (poser) As always (you guessed it folks ...) my very best Tb42

Many thanks! I have a lot of fun trying to convey a sense of people working in very large scale/enclosed environments. This peice is inspired by the HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxys' concept of "Magrathea", the planet making factory. (If you havent seen the film, its a real hoot, and the books are priceless)
