Description

I tried to model this after several photos of Miles Davis, one of my favorites. Miles Davis was born on May 26, 1926 and would have been 79 last Thursday. Like many of his contemporaries, he struggled to develop his own style, which he did and it eventually became known as the birth of cool. Again, like many of his contemporaries, he also struggled with drug addictions: but, beyond that his talent perservered. One wonders how much greater his music would have been without the fog of drugs. Credits: Daz' Poet Shirt, Alica Hair, Darryl Character, MM Sunglasses & I don't remember where the horn came from.

Provocative image and thoughtful text beneath. I'm not sure he would have been a better artist or musician without the drugs--though he certainly might have lived longer. Nice to see this type of work in the galleries--I'm a big fan of Davis!
