Newest Personal Challenge With Fredy!
Single Word: LONELINESS
I started out with 3 different ideas and decided on this one:
The fleet was surveying a new solar system and Sirina decided to go on a little impromptu scout. She only intended to do a quick skirt around a planet that had not been noticed, nor was it in the flight plan. She was going to transmit her position when her ship had a sudden system failure.
She crash landed and though the ship didn't seem to have sustained much damage to the hull, and she was very lucky to not have been killed, the communication system was damaged beyond repair. Now she had no way of letting the fleet know where she was.
The solar system was the largest they had ever explored and she knew it could be weeks...maybe even months before they found her. Sitting in the shade, she contemplated that she had enough supplies on her ship to last her that long if need be, but the thought of being so alone, for so long, was already making her feel lonely...more lonely than she ever thought a person could ever be...

Haha! This is so brilliant Vicki! We both did a SciFi-pic! Scary, huh? I like it very much, she looks sooooo sad while she is playing with the stick! Posing and especially the hair are well done. I love how you arranged the stones and the plants to achieve the look of a strange planet. I also like the orange color for the suit! There is a nice mixture of manga and realism in this pic. So you made a wonderful pic and an excellent story (this gives some additional bonus points g), so what should I say, except "you won"! I really like it! Hugz Fredy :)

Wow, nice secne!! Her expression and pose really convey the loneliness and a bit of defeat, the way her limbs seem to just sort of lie where gravity placed them. Very cool concept!

This is great! Though for some reason it just really makes me think of Killashandra, the Crystal Singer from Anne McCaffrey's books. ^_^

So whose face is she drawing? --(Killashandra was depressed, too, because her career of crystal singing was sending her to an early grave, among other things. And she was lonely, worked alone on an empty planet...)
