Description
X-Wing model coutesy of www.scifi3d.com. This was mainly an experiment in lighting - "could I get the look of a very bright, glaring sunny day?" One distant light brightness 160% with soft shadows enabled and a light radius of 750 inches. Sky Lighting and Global Illumination both turned on and each set at 75%. A little post-work in photoshop to add film-grain and a little haze on the horizon.

Truly Amazing. Thats the best rendered x-wing I have seen to date. Excellent and authentic skinning, keep up the good work.

I'll repeat that I can't claim the model (including the textures) as my own. It was sourced from http://www.scifi3d.com - an excellent source for Star Wars and StarTrek models. Carrara did a reasonable job of opeing the 3DStudio Max format file this X-Wing was in originally. I had to tweak it a little to realign the textures and wings.
